Marguerite Eleanor Stensrud

Stensrud, Marguerite Eleanor (Myre) age 99 of Bloomington, MN, completed her journey to meet the Lord on September 30, 2014. Marguerite was born on September 19, 1915 in Chippewa Falls, WI to Claude and Rose Myre. She graduated from McDonell High School in Chippewa Falls in 1934. She was employed by (The Colony) Northern Wisconsin Center for Develop-mentally Disabled until her marriage to Lyle Stensrud in 1940 at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. In 1973 they moved to Phoenix, AZ to enjoy retirement. Her beloved Lyle passed in 1983, Marguerite returned to Minnesota in 2008 to reside at the Masonic Home in Bloomington. She is survived by children, Kjell (Jacqueline) of Comfort, TX, Mark of Bloomington, MN, Susan Jensen of Cornell, WI, Jane (Mark) Wiecher of Bloomington, MN and Marguerite (John) Hillebrand of Phoenix, AZ; brother-in-law, John Globensky of Cornell, WI. She will be greatly missed by her 23 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren and 1 arriving in November. She was preceded in death by husband, Lyle; parents, Claude and Rose Myre; son, William; daughter-in-law, Artis Stensrud; son-in-law, Robert Jensen, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Funeral service Thursday, October 2 at 6 PM with visitation 5-6 PM at Minnesota Masonic Home Chapel, 11501 Masonic Home Drive, Bloomington, MN 55437, officiated by Pastor Kandace Savela. Funeral Mass on Friday, October 3 at 1 PM with visitation 12-1 PM at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 117 Allen St, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729, officiated by Rev. Msgr. Mark Pierce.
