Andersen Former State Representative Richard (Dick) Andersen, born April 5, 1919 of New Brighton lost a courageous battle with cancer in his home surrounded by family on April 7, 2003. Preceded in death by wife Marie and daughter Carolyn. Survived by, daughters, Kitty Huberty, Patricia (Bill) Hartmann, Joan (Beau) Siegel and Judy Siegel; grandchildren, Lori, DuWayne (Renae) and Joe Huberty, Brooks, Ashley, Jack and Ross Siegel, Carolyn and Reid Hartmann; great grandchildren, Alexander, Wyatt and Kendall Huberty; sister Phyllis (Bob) Rogne. In his 84 years Dick was a man of many accomplishments. He was a horticulturist, owned a successful chain of pet stores, a member of the Civil Air Patrol, active in local and state government and had a pilot's license. Private service. Relatives and friends welcome to visit at the home of Dick on Saturday, April 12th from 1pm-6pm. Memorials preferred, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
