Potas Virgie E. Potas of Edina, MN, formerly of Sioux Falls, SD., died on April 5, 2003 at N.C. Little Memorial Hospice in Edina, MN., surrounded by her family after a courageous struggle with ovarian cancer. Virgie was born April 6, 1913 in Richmond, VA and moved to Sioux Falls, SD. at age 9. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Potas and daughter Connie Sue Pomykal. Virgie celebrated life to the fullest! She especially loved birds, crafts, playing games, and collecting! Her strength, courage, and zest for life amazed and inspired everyone who met her. She will be forever missed as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Survivors include: 2 sons, Ronald (Roberta) Potas, Wayzata, MN.; Steven (Gayle) Potas, Prior Lake, MN.; Daughter, Dianne (William) Marks, Kansas City, MO.; Son-in-law Don Pomykal, Childress, TX.; 2 sisters, Jessie Roemer, El Toro, CA; Marjorie Nicholls, Lexington, S.C.; 8 Grand Children, 2 Great-Grand Children and many other friends and relatives. A special thank-you to Fairview Home Care and Hospice and N.C. Little Memorial Hospice for all of their loving care. Visitation 2-3pm, Saturday, April 12, 2003 at Miller Funeral Home, Sioux Falls, S.D. with a graveside service to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls, S.D.
