Dorothy (Carlson) Sawyer

Sawyer Dorothy (Carlson) Sawyer, age 83, of Sun City, AZ, on March 23rd. Preceded in death by daughter, Patty. Survived by her husband, of 64 years, Jack; daughters, Jackie (Tom) and Jerilyn; grandson, Aaron (Shelly); great-granddaughter, Kayla; brother, Ken Carlson (Barbara); nieces, Ginny and Nancy; nephew, Eric (Mary); grand-nieces, Maggie, Grace, and Marissa and grand-nephew, Jack. Dorothy grew up in Mpls, graduating from Washburn High School in 1937. She lived most of her life here until retirement to Sun City, in the late '70's. A service celebrating her life will be at Willowbrook UMC, in Sun City on Monday, April 8th at 11 am. Memorials to the UMC Church are requested in lieu of flowers. Her ashes will be interred at Lakewood Cemetery in Mpls. at a later date.
