Ertl Berkley O., age 90, of Robbinsdale, died peacefully March 25, 2002. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Evelyn; his devoted brother, Richard; his 2 daughters, Jane Kelley of Pompano Beach, FL, Carolyn (Keith) Campbell of Mendota Heights; and grandchildren, Katie & Brian Kelley, David & Kevin Campbell. Berkley was a life long resident of N. Mpls. and Robbinsdale. He attended North High and the University of MN where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, the U of M Varsity Gymnastic Team and the Ski-U-Mah Staff. He was an Eagle Scout and member of DeMolay, Plymouth Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Zurah Shrine. He served 4 years in the Armed Services during WWII as First Lt. Medical Administration Corps. He worked for 28 years with American Lead Pencil and Venus Esterbrook Corporation as a sales person and territory manager in the Upper Midwest. He was past president of the Northwest Travelers as well as secretary and treasurer of the same. He was a member of Elim Lutheran Church. He retired in 1974. He loved golf, fishing, hunting and traveled extensively with his wife and family. Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6, at 11:00 AM at Elim Lutheran Church, 3978 West Broadway, Robbinsdale.
