Genevieve Pederson

Genevieve ``Jean'' Pederson, age 94, 8 months, of Presbyterian Homes and Assisted Living in Spring Park, MN, formerly of Maple Plain and longtime resident of North Mpls, died March 21, 2002. Preceded in death by husband, Erwin ``Erv'' - (Erv's Barber Shop); infant son, John; parents, Earl & Frances Stone; sisters, Dorothy Hansen and Winifred Iverson; brother, Dr. Gordon Stone. She is survived by daughters, Louise Johnson & husband Keith and Karen Toomey & husband Richard; grandchildren, Gary Johnson, Bruce Johnson, Mark Toomey, Dr. Traci Toomey, Matthew Toomey; great-grandchildren, Roxanne, Benjamin, Charlotte & Madeline Johnson; nieces and nephews. Jean grew up in Andover, SD, and attended Aberdeen Normal School and then St. Barnabas Hospital School of Nursing. She worked in the bookstore on the St. Paul campus of the U of M for 23 years. A celebration of her life will be held Monday, 2 pm at Christ Lutheran Church, 5084 E. Main, Maple Plain, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Crystal Lake Cemetery, Mpls.
