Chillstrom Dorothy Elaine Chillstrom (62), of Green Valley, AZ, and Wayzata, MN. Dorothy was born March 28, 1939 in Dunn County, WI, the youngest child of William A. & Marie Moe. Shortly thereafter they moved to St. Croix County, WI and eventually settled on a farm near Baldwin, WI, where Dorothy attended a one-room country school, and, later, Baldwin High School, where she graduated in 1957. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. She worked briefly in St. Paul, MN, until her marriage to Don Chillstrom on June 25, 1960. The Chillstrom's moved to Wayzata, MN following their marriage in 1960 and spent their entire working life in the Wayzata/Plymouth area. To this union were born 3 children, Donald J. of Long Lake, MN, Beth M. of Minneapolis, MN, & Steven W. of Wayzata, MN. Dorothy spent much of her life as a wonderful mother and homemaker. She also worked part-time for about 10 years as a cashier at Wayzata Rexal Drugs, the most social job in Wayzata. Dorothy had a lifelong interest in music and was a member of the Minnetonka Choral Society for several years. She was also a devoted gardener and was well known in the area for her green thumb. She was a member for many years of St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Following their retirement in 1996, the Chillstrom's traveled for 3 years in their RV, moving to Tucson, AZ in 1998, and eventually settling in Green Valley, AZ in 2000. Dorothy was a member of Desert Hills Lutheran Church in Green Valley and active in the church choir. She was preceeded in death by her parents and older brother, Wilmer Moe, of River Falls, WI. She is survived by her husband, Don; son, Donald & wife Kelly, and grandson Paul Petersen; daughter Beth; and son, Steven. Other survivors include her sisters, Gladys (Lee) Randall, Evelyn (Richard) Peterson; sister-in-law, Marion Moe; brother, William D. Moe, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Memorial Services will be held in Arizona at Desert Hills Lutheran Church in Green Valley on March 26 at 11:00 AM, and in Minnesota at The Lutheran Church of St. Philip the Deacon in Plymouth on April 2 at 11:00 AM. Memorials may be directed to the churches, either in Minnesota or Arizona.
