Agnes Marie Ekola

Ekola Agnes Marie, age 90, of Mpls and longtime resident of St. Paul and Hibbing, died March 21, 2002. She participated in volunteer work in church and community groups in Hibbing. Preceded in death by husband, Gustave R.; sister, Lillian Smith; and brother, Robert Swanson. Survived by children, Lee (Beverly), Judy (Dave) Porter, Dean (Jan) and Lynne (Jeff) Ekola-Harrington; grandchildren, Susan, Nancy, Peter, Ali, Darlene, Deborah, Elizabeth, Jim, Brooke, Avery, Allison, Joanna, John; great-grandchildren, Jean, Ann, Katie, Annika, Porter, Loretta, Ben, Emily; sisters, Beatrice Lobland, Rhoda Bernard; and numerous nieces and nephews. A very special thanks and appreciation to the staff and residents of Redeemer Residence who cared for her and shared many years of her life. Memorial service 2 pm, Thursday, March 28, at Redeemer Residence, 625 W. 31st St, Mpls. Memorials preferred to Grandma's House, Child Care Center of Redeemer Residence. Interment later in the spring.
