Henry William Foley, PhD, 93, died peacefully on the Ides of March after a brief illness. He was from Paris, IL, and moved his family to Minneapolis in 1950. He is preceded in death by a brother, a sister, and a grandson. He is survived by Kay Henry, his wife of 66 yrs; a sister; 2 children (Ron Henry & Joyce Krisko), 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces & nephews. Bill earned his PhD in Physical Chemistry at the U of Illinois in 1932. He worked in the food industry over 40 years sharing 4 patents at Corn Products and Pillsbury. Later he specialized in Rheology, becoming an international authority. Cited by Who's Who, the International Blue Book and the American Chemical Society, he will be missed by chemists, family and friends alike. Bill was also an accomplished pianist. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday at 11 am at Linden Hills Congregational UCC Church, 4200 Upton Ave S. Memorials should be sent to Linden Hills UCC. WERNESS BROTHERS 612-927-8641
