Malcolm H. Meyers, age 84, of Minneapolis, passed away March 14, 2002 after a fall. Renowned artist and esteemed and beloved professor emeritus of art at the University of Minnesota. Survived by loving wife, Marilyn Jenneman Myers. Predeceased by parents, Clyde and Kathryn; sister, Elizabeth; and first wife, Roberta. Born 1917 in Chillicothe, Mo. Graduated from Wichita State U and earned a master of fine arts degree from the U of Iowa. Also studied at the Art Students League in NY, and in Paris (1950) and Mexico (1954) on Guggenheim Foundation fellowships. Joined the U of Minnesota art faculty in 1948. Works appear in more than 30 museum and corporate collections throughout the world. Funeral service and interment 10:30 AM March 21 in Kansas (Arr. Ebersole Mortuary, Conway Springs, KS, 620-456-2226). Memorial service to be held at the U of Minnesota, date to be announced.
