Hallett Walter F., of Eagan, Mn, formerly of Burke, VA, passed away peacefully March 12, 2002 in Bloomington, MN. He was born October 9, 1918 in Glenwood, MN. Walter served in the US Army Air Corps in Egypt in WWII as an instrument repair technician. He later worked as a civilian for 42 years with the US Air Force and the US Navy. He retired in 1983 from the Naval Air Systems Command, Crystal City, VA. Walter is survived by Dorothy, his beloved wife of 54 years; his sons, Jeff of Ohio, and James of Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister. Walter will be missed by a large extended family, a host of friends from coast to coast. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 16, 2002 at Holy Emanuel Lutheran Church, 201 E. 104th Street, Bloomington, MN 55420. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be immediately following at Hillside Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
