Eisenberg Debra Joy, age 45, of Edina, passed away March 8, 2002 after a courageous 2+ year battle with pancreatic cancer. Debbie devoted herself to her loving family. Her passion in life was helping those less fortunate than herself, and she dedicated her career to teaching learning disabled children. Throughout her illness, she was the image of strength, courage and hope, and in 2001, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network presented her with the ``Spirit of Hope'' award. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, including her dear grandmother, Erna ``Omi'' Rogers. She is survived by her husband, Stan; children, Julie and Nathan; parents, Sheldon & Eva Kieffer; sister & brother-in-law, Cindy & Joel Shapiro; brother, Marshall; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Elias & Florence Eisenberg; sister-in-law, Eileen & husband Loren Colman; brother-in-law, Steven & wife Rachelle Eisenberg; nieces and nephews, Josh, Dana, David, Karee, Jacqui, Ben; Andrew and William & their mother Nancy Barron. She will also be deeply missed by her beloved dog, Aspen, and many, many dear friends. Thank you to all her dear friends who continue to raise awareness for this terrible disease.
