Young (Borey) Lynnette A., of San Marcos, CA, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 5, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Dewaine Young and children, Rick Cameron and Wendy Cameron. She will also be sorely missed by her stepchildren whom she shared with her husband, Dewaine. She had many grandchildren for whom she was a constant inspiration. Lynnette was born in Minneapolis to John and Adele Borey on April 12, 1936. Lynnette and Dewaine lived in the Minneapolis area until the mid 1970s when they moved to the San Diego, CA area. She was active with her husband in his company, DVY Construction. Lynnette attended Edina Morningside High School from which she graduated in 1954. She had one brother, Robert Borey, who still lives in the Twin Cities area. Lynnette's mother, Adele, widowed in the mid 1970s, came to California to live with Lynn and her husband. Lynn provided loving care for Adele for many years as her mother's health gradually failed until she passed away at the age of 95 in the year 2000. Lynnette and Dewaine loved travel and visited many countries around the world. They brought back fascinating tales of their adventures in places like Japan, China, Russia, England, Norway, India, France, Australia, Italy, Greece and numerous other countries. Funeral services for Lynnette will be held on Tuesday, March 12 at the Washburn-McReavy Strobeck Johnson Chapel located at 1400 Mainstreet in Hopkins, MN. Visitation begins at 2 PM with a Memorial Service beginning at 3 PM. Interment will be at the Grandview Cemetery in Hopkins, MN, immediately following the service.
