Hall Jim Hall, age 43, of Minneapolis, died March 24, 2003 in Phoenix, Arizona after a two year battle with cancer. Jim will be deeply missed by his wife, Gail Wirtanen; parents, Robert and Kathleen Hall; sister, Anne Hall (Mike Okada); brother, Tom Hall (Kris Wirtanen); brother, John Hall; stepdaughter, Charlotte Cook; uncle and aunt, Ray and Joan Hall; the Hall cousins; best friend, Bruce Hanson, and his many friends and coworkers. Jim was a beloved husband, a wonderful life partner, and a devoted family member and friend. He enjoyed travel, the companionship of his dogs Wagner and Zoe, and attending Grateful Dead concerts each summer with his brothers Tom and John. Jim was dedicated to his career as a real estate developer for the Wall Companies, preceded by work in environmental engineering and law. He thrived on learning and was an avid life-long student; Jim was a graduate of the University of Minnesota where he also earned Master's degrees in the History of Technology, Civil Engineering, and a Juris Doctorate. More recently he was working toward his MBA at the University of Chicago. Jim will be remembered for his loyalty to his family and friends, his drive and determination, and his quirky sense of humor. A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Sunday, April 6th at the Airport Marriott, 2020 East 79th St, Bloomington, from 1 to 4 p.m. Memorials to the U of M Cancer Center or the U of M Small Animal Hospital preferred.
