Ray Mary Edna Bonar Ray. Born December 2, 1924 in Sebastopol, California to Leslie and Julia Bonar, our beloved Mother and Grandma joined her parents and husband, Raymond R. Ray, on March 14, 2003, after a lengthy and courageous fight with Alzheimer's. Mom's life was one of activity and service. She was active in the Stephen's Ministry of Wayzata Community Church, while living in Minnetonka, Minnesota and then in Santa Rosa, California. She was a devoted Christian and participated actively in the Church of the Roses in Santa Rosa before moving to Tacoma, Washington to be cared for by her oldest son, Charles and wife, Martha. Mom's love of life is a legacy for her family and friends. She was always ready to go somewhere, anywhere, and lunch out was a must with family and visitors. She loved her family and her sheltie, Missy. She will be missed by brother, Chuck Bonar, of Paradise, CA; her four children: Rosemary Rae, Charles Ray (Martha), John Ray (Gloria), and Juliann McGrath (Shaun); ten grandchildren: Jason Goldwach, Sarah Sterling, Aaron Ray (Shannon), Nira Ray, Ryan Nelson, Justin Ray, Alex Ray, Meghan McGrath, Corey McGrath, and Kieran McGrath; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A special Thank You to Jim & Margaret Franzen for their loving care of our mom. Also a deep appreciation to the staff of Weatherly Inn, Hospice, and Dr. Regimbal in Tacoma. In lieu of flowers, please make donations In Honor of Mary Edna Ray to the Gideon's International, PO Box 111, Osseo, MN 55369.
