Sylvia May Nelson

Nelson Sylvia May. We Celebrate the life of Sylvia May Nelson (Mrs. E.W. Nelson). She was born on Sept. 23, 1906 in Minneapolis, MN, to Mabel and Severt Sorem. She died peacefully in her sleep on March 25, 2003, in Mercer Island, WA. Sylvia is survived by her brother, Lloyd S. "Bud" Sorem of Edina, MN; her son, John Ellsworth Nelson, of Mercer Island, WA; grandchildren, Andrea Nelson, David Nelson and Mark Nelson. Preceded in death by her husband, Ellsworth, on May 20, 1967; son, Thomas W. Nelson of Mequon, WI in August 2001, and a grandson, John E. Nelson, Jr., in June of 1983. Memorial service Thursday, April 3 at 2 PM at the Acacia Park Memorial Chapel, Mendota Heights, MN, and another memorial service in mid-July in Green Bay, WI.
