Handzus Matilda (nee Beno) of Mpls. Mother is now with her God, her best friend, partner and husband of 66 years, Andrew, who she knew from childhood in their Slovak community. She is also with many friends who preceded both of them. A very special and talented wife, Grandma and Great Grandma. Very active in her Slovak church, self taught soloist and sometimes organist, seamtress, knitter, Betty Crocker recipe tester, ceramic artist, caregiver to her in-laws for many years. To her many remaining friends thank you for your thoughtfulness and ``Love each each and stay connected to your loved one.'' Preceded in death by husband, Andrew; parents; sister, brother; grandson; and nephew. Loved and missed by her daughter and pal, Pat; her beloved granddaughter, Toni & husband, Scott; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Danielle and Emily; furry friends, LeiLani and Nermal; nephew, Jack Gersdorf. She was quite a lady and she left us with so much wisdom, humor and knowledge. To the wonderful staff at Fairview University Hospital, Ward 6D and the Fairview Hospice staff, thank you very much. We are and we were very fortunate to have had her and dad help shape our lives. We love you and you will be greatly missed.
