Linda P. Roerig

Roerig, Linda P. age 63, of Saugatuck Township, Michigan, passed away peacefully at her home, on Saturday, September 13, 2014, with her family and friends by her side. Born January 27, 1951 in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Raymond and Margaret (Faires) Putman. Linda retired from Honeywell, Inc. and worked for Huntree Nursery in Ganges, was the president of Baragar Pines Farm in Saugatuck Township, was on the Saugatuck Township Parks Commission, School Board Member for the Allegan Area Educational Service Agency, and also active in many other local organizations and committees. She is survived by her loving husband, Christopher A. Roerig; brothers, Scott and Cathy Putman of Green Bay, WI, Michael Putman of Minneapolis, MN; niece, Annie Putman; nephew, Daniel Putman; father and mother-in-law, Alan Sr. and Jill Roerig of Fennville; sister-in-law, Kathy and Sean O'Brien of Glen Ellyn, IL; brothers-in-law, Tim Roerig of Wheaton, IL, Alan Jr. and Heather Roerig of Plainfield, IL; nieces and nephews, Jack, Blake, Annie and Evan O'Brien, Matthew, Emily, Aaron and Luke Roerig; God Mother, and friend to many. A memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Community Church of Douglas, 6780 Wiley Rd., Douglas, Michigan. There will be a Ginormous Barn Party at Baragar Pines Farm following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
