Greenberg Stuart L., 76, of Lake Charles, LA. Memorial services were held Mon., Feb. 25, 2002, at Temple Sinai, in Lake Charles, LA. Rabbin Peter Shacktman of New York officiated. Cremation was under the dir. of Johnson Funeral Home. Mr. Greenberg died Fri., Feb. 22, 2002 at his residence. Mr. Greenberg was born in Mpls., MN. He served in the 8th Armored Infantry in WWII in France, Holland, Germany and Czechoslovakia. After the war he returned to the U of MN on the GI Bill, where he received his 2nd Lieutenant's commission. Mr. Greenberg then returned to Germany during the Korean War as a forward observer. After the Korean War, Mr. Greenberg entered the family furniture business in South St. Paul, MN. In 1966 he moved to St. Louis, MO as an independent furniture representative. In 1972 Mr. Greenberg moved to Lake Charles to work for Davidson Sash and Door Company. He retired in May of 2000 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Greenberg was a member of Temple Sinai and served on the Temple's Board of Directors. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the YMCA. Mr. Greenberg is survived by his wife, Reve Milstein Greenberg of Lake Charles; 2 daughters, Cathy Greenberg Kelley of Northern, CA, and Jill Susan Greenberg of Long Beach, CA. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Youth Group Fund at Temple Sinai, 713 Hodges St., Lake Charles, LA, 70601, or to the charity of their choice.
