Lockhart Earl J. Lockhart, 84, formerly of Duluth, died Saturday, March 22, 2003 at his home in Holmes Beach, Florida. Earl was born May 29, 1918 in Duluth to Earl J. and Margaret (Dodd) Lockhart. He was a graduate of Central High School and he received his BBA from the University of Minnesota. He served in the Pacific in the Army from 1942 to 1946. He married Bernice Hagan on January 10, 1945. Earl returned to Duluth in 1949, having worked a short time with Peat Marwick Mitchell and Co. in Mpls. He was a partner with the CPA firm of Pedrizetti, Grover and Lockhart and retired in 1982 from the successor firm of Main Hurdman, now known as McGladrey and Pullen LLP, as partner in charge. Earl was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernice H. Lockhart on March 5, 1987. Earl is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Williams) Lockhart; Earl and Bernice's children, James B. (Janie Mayeron) Lockhart of Mpls., Thomas M. Lockhart of Idaho and John G. (Wendy Basil) Lockhart of CA; daughters, Jeanne M. Doyle of Mpls., Margaret A. (John) Norton and Maripat (Scott) Webster, both of CO and Caroline (William) Laneville of Geneva, Switzerland. Stepchildren, Bruce C. (Miling) Williams, CA, Stephen P. Williams, WI, Jeffrey T. (Terry) Williams, CO, Timothy J. (Donna) Williams, St. Cloud, Ann W. (Fran) Bussey of Duluth and Kathleen W. (John) Lee of Mpls. His brother, Kenneth T. (Barbara) Lockhart of New Jersey; 25 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 10 am, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am Friday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary in Duluth. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
