Calderon Manuel Calderon (43) of Mahtomedi, died peacefully on March 23, surrounded by his loving family. Manuel was our cherished husband, father, son, brother, uncle and forever friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; devoted children, Natalia and Nathan, and his joyful dog, Harley. Also survived by mother, Maria; brother, Armando; sisters, Elena and Lorena (Jeff) Bacon; half-siblings, Javier, Aida and Gabriella. He leaves his in-laws, Jim and Mary Johnson, Kathy (Bill) Spitzmueller, Bill (Kaleta) Johnson and Betsy (Alex) Hartmann. "Tio" Manuel will be greatly missed by his nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Armando. Manuel was born in El Salvador, moved to MN at age 15 and graduated from Macalester College in 1980. He received his MBA from St. Thomas University. Successful in his 22 year career at 3M, Manuel developed wonderful relationships worldwide. Manuel enjoyed people, music, travel, beaches, golf, humor and Latin cuisine. He treasured his family. He faced his illness and death with courage and dignity. Manuel loved deeply, worked effectively and lived joyfully. His charismatic spirit lives on in all who were fortunate to know him. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 6 PM at ST. JUDE OF THE LAKE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 700 Mahtomedi Avenue, Mahtomedi with visitation 2 hours prior to Mass at the church. Private interment.
