Edward A. Palcich

Palcich Edward A., 86, died Monday, March 17, 2003 at University Medical Center-Mesabi in Hibbing. He taught at Hawley, MN; Big Timber, MT; and at Hibbing Junior College for 35 years in the Biology Dept., retiring in 1982. He was the advisor of the college's Newman Club, where he became known to the students as "Father Ed." Survived by wife, Julia; son, William J. (Cyndy) Palcich of Flagstaff, AZ; daughter, Mary P. (Joe) Keyes of Oakdale, MN; sister, Pauline Perkovich of Chisholm, MN; and a number of nephews and nieces. Service 11:30 am Friday, March 21, 2003 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Hibbing. Visitation 5-7 pm Thursday at Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing, with rosary by the Knights of Columbus at 6 pm, and for one hour prior to service at the church. Interment Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing. Memorials preferred to the Edward A. Palcich Scholarship Fund c/o Hibbing Community College or to the donor's choice.
