Fred Irwin Tjaden

Tjaden Fred Irwin, was born on Feb. 14, 1918 in Everdale, MN (near Foxholm). He married Virginia Osimowicz on May 24, 1941. Fred lost his wife of 61 years on Feb. 10, 2003 and has now joined her for eternity. Also preceded in death by brother, Otto and 2 sisters, Bell and Luella. Fred is survived by 4 sons, Tim (Bonnie), Leland (Cecilia), Mark (Dawn), and Dennis (Vickie); as well as 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Glen, Dana, Kenneth and 4 sisters, Mae, Rena, Mona and Elaine. Fred was a watchmaker for Welander Jewelers in Fergus Falls for many years and later had "The Time Store" in Elbow Lake, MN, before moving his family to St. Louis Park, MN. He then worked for Becklund Jewelers and Ostlund Jewelers, prior to his retirement. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Falls, MN. Funeral service 11 am Friday at Cross of Glory Baptist Church, 4600 Shady Oak Road, Minnetonka, with visitation one hour prior to the service at church and also Thursday from 5-8 pm at: Washburn-McReavy Strobeck Johnson Chapel 1400 Mainstreet, Hopkins 952-938-9020
