Ahlm Vada M., Nov. 16, 1917 - Feb. 24, 2002, in Mesa, AZ, formerly of Crystal, MN. Preceded in death by husband, Vern. Survived by daughters, Vanette (Richard) Granlund, Backus, MN, Virginia (Charles) Jansen, Crystal, MN, Verna (Robert) Peterson, Brooklyn Center, MN, Vicki (Joseph) Breen, Brooklyn Park, MN, and son, Vincent (Barb) Ahlm, Bennet, NE; several grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Alice Mellas, Ham Lake, MN; nieces, nephews, grand nieces & nephews. Co-founder of North Hennepin Artist Assoc. and taught art in Arizona for many years. Memorial service held at Eternal Life Lutheran Church in Mesa, Feb. 27. A gathering of family & friends, to celebrate her life, will be held at her daughter Verna's home on April 27 from 1-3 pm (763-566-4084). Private burial at Oak Lake Lutheran Cemetery in Kerrick, MN at a later date. ``We love you, Mom. Say `hi' to Dad.''
