McCabe, William (Bill) Age 83, of Burnsville, MN. Passed away Aug 25, 2014 after a long fight with skin cancer. Bill was born in Newcastle, NE and was an avid sports fan, youth coach and umpire. He served in the Korean War, then had a life long career with Honeywell, ending in Arizona. Bill was a humble Irishman, devoted to family, and loved people. He is preceded in death by parents, Louis and Mary, and brother Tom. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janice (Marron), his four children, Peggy Preiner (Tim), Patrick, Joan Nelson (Reed), and Lisa Nebel (Scott), 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and his brother, Dan. Funeral Mass will be held at Risen Savior Church, 1501 E. Cty Rd 42, Burnsville, at 11am on Thursday, Sept 4, with visitation starting at 10am. Private interment at a later date at Fort Snelling Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Risen Savior Church in the name of Bill McCabe. Our heart felt thanks to all the caring people at Park Nicollet Hospice and to our neighbors and friends.
