Wilson, Mary Frances (nee Benda) Nov. 29, 1940 - Aug. 27, 2014, after battling cancer for 26 months. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Gertrude Benda; sister, Judith Nelson and brother, William (Bill). Survived by loving and devoted husband, Gordon; loving daughter, Maren and fiance Matt Beard; loving son, Stephen (Stiv); and much loved grandchildren, Nicholas and Rachel Hart, Brianna and Elizabeth Beard; brother, Joseph; sister-in-law, Beverly Feith; nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and many wonderful friends. Fran spent many of her adult years working diligently in the Pro Life Movement, first with Birthright, then with MN Citizens Concerned for Life as State Education Director. Her dedication to faith, family and friends guided her whole life. Fran was blessed by the spiritual, loving and prayerful staff and members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Minne-tonka and many friends. A special thank you to the very caring staff at MN Oncology and Southdale Fairview Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Minne-tonka, the American Cancer Society or the Salvation Army. Memorial service Saturday, Aug. 30, 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 13505 Excelsior Blvd., Minnetonka, MN. Private family interment.
