Ethel J. Galles

Galles, Ethel J. Age 98, resident of Lyngblomsten Care Center, St. Paul, MN formerly of Bloomington and St. Peter, MN, passed away peacefully August 23, 2014. She was born June 30, 1916 in Nucla, CO to Carrie & Chris Rod. She was preceded in death by three husbands Herman Broten, Andrew Michels, Henry Galles; son Leon Broten, daughter Marilyn "Joanne" Montgomery (nee Broten), sisters Evelyn Malmquist, Marion Delamater, Clara Swenson, brothers Ralph Rod and Harold Rod. She is survived by daughter Gloria (Art Ludwig) Stevenson (nee Michels); 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, brothers Clifford (Betty) Rod of Cambridge, Marvin Rod of Maplewood, and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm Friday, September 5th, at Cremation Society of MN, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Park, MN with a visitation 1 hour prior. Deepest gratitude to the caring staff of Lyngblomsten.
