Beverly Calmenson

Calmenson, Beverly age 85 of Lilydale, passed away on August, 26, 2014. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Calvin, daughter Robyn Calmenson and parents Ann & Nathan Thorman. Survived by daughter Susan Calmenson (Vince Leo); granddaughter Alana Alch; great-grand-daughters Callia and Mariana Alch; many loving nieces and nephews. Beverly was a pioneer and key leader of the St. Paul JCC, serving as its first woman president. She was a fierce advocate for a totally inclusive Jewish community and was an innovative trailblazer for her time. Beverly was a passionate friend of United Hospital, Lupus Foundation and many other organizations. The family wishes to deeply thank her doctors and extraordinary caregivers. Beverly enriched the lives of those who knew her and graced the world with her presence. Funeral service 11 am THURSDAY (TODAY) at BETH JACOB CONGREGATION 1179 Victoria Curve Mendota Hts. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the St. Paul JCC or the donor's favorite charity.
