Sarah Laurents

Laurents Sarah "Sally" Mitchell Laurents, 95, of Asheville, NC, died Monday, March 10, 2003. Born and raised in Little Falls, MN, she is the daughter of the late Frederick W. and Matilda Shippritt Mitchell. Sally raised her sons in Minneapolis, MN and lived there for most of her life. She moved to Asheville four years ago. She was a devout Catholic who loved her family and her dog, Buffy. She enjoyed music, playing the piano, gardening, and make the world's best oatmeal cookies. Sally will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her sons, John A. Laurents and his wife Sara of Matthews, NC, Charles A. Laurents and his wife Linda of Arlington, TX; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from Noon to 1 PM, Saturday, March 15, 2003 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 PM with burial at St. Mary's Cemetery.
