Gross, Sydney A. Born in St. Cloud, MN, died on Aug. 19, 2014, at age 87. Preceded in death by parents, Lulu and Erwin; siblings Frances, Jerome, Betty, and Stewert. Survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Joyce; children Julie Ammerman (Rodney), Steven, David, Peter (Jeanne McGee), John (David DuVall), Michael (Sandra), and Patrick; grandchildren Erin Anderson, Ryan Ammerman, Maria Davidson, Sidney Gross, Alice McGee, and Carol Gross; siblings Mary Lou Stang, Margaret Ellen Thomas, and Lyle Gross; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces. Graduated from St. John's University and the University of Minnesota Law School. Owner and president of S.A. Gross & Associates, Inc., hospital claims and risk management. Services at Saint Joan of Arc, 4537 Third Ave S, Mpls, MN 55419 (612.823.8205), on Sat. 8/23/14; visitation 10 am, service 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the donor's favorite charity or to the Minnesota DFL. He will be greatly missed by everyone.
