Eleanor Carr Thwing

Thwing Eleanor Carr, age 96, of Friendship Village, Bloomington. Preceded in death by husband, Frederic; parents, Judge & Mrs. William Carr; sisters, Algretta Carr Cooley, Thora Carr Onan, Lydia Carr Strong; and brother, Cyril Carr. Survived by son, Frederic Jr. (Mindy) of Decatur, AL; daughter, Lois (Anthony) Pesola of Eden Prairie, MN 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Charolotte Carr Roberts and Lois (John) Carr Agnew. She was a teacher who loved children and taught in Edina and the Blake Schools (Highcroft Campus). After retirement she taught illiterate adults. She carefully blended high standards and discipline with warm, genuine concern for students. She was an effective teacher who earned the respect, confidence and friendship of her students. Memorial service 2 PM Thursday, Feb. 27 at Westwood Lutheran Church, 9001 Cedar Lake Rd., St. Louis Park, 55426. Memorials preferred to the church. Cremation Society of MN Edina 952-924-4100
