Millunchick Rebecca. Born 9/20/ 1907 in St. Paul to Herman and Ida Millunchick. Graduated valedictorian from St. Paul Central H.S., 1925, completed studies at Lutheran Bible Institute, 1928, and graduated valedictorian from Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, MN, 1934. Taught public high school in Greenbush, MN, Brooklyn, NY and Chicago, IL. Was a Missionary Teacher for Zion Society for Israel in New York City, Philadelphia, and Chicago, and for the National Lutheran Council in Chicago. Published books and articles, and lectured widely on faith, spirituality, and Biblical teachings. Retired to Minneapolis in 1974. Member of First Lutheran Church, St. Paul, 1926-1950. Associate member of Bethany Lutheran Church since 1979. Died peacefully on 2/22/2003 at Stevens Square Home in Minneapolis. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Samuel A., and sister, Minnie Florence Fine. Survived by cousins, Rosalie Mandel, Durham, NC, Sadie Wernick, Minnetonka, and many friends and relatives. Will be dearly missed by Kathleen Foley and Rosemary Foley. Visitation at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 am on Thursday, Feb. 27 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 2511 E.
