Butterfield Allan LeRoy, Sr., formerly of Bloomington and Minnetonka, 83. Born 4-23-1919 Winfield, IA and passed away 1-29-03 in Prescott, AZ after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by wife, Carol, Congress, AZ; daughters, Alleene, Mound, MN, Barbara (Lloyd) Thiesfeld, Houston, TX, Nancy (Clyde) Bayne, Newcastle, WY; son, Allan Jr. (Dianne), Lakeville, MN; stepdaughters, Cathy (Tom) Burrier, England, Margaret (Tim) Mitchell, Las Vegas, NV; 9 grandchildren; brother, Jim (Moira), Los Angeles, CA; sister, Doris (Ernie) Medialdea, Loveland, CO; and many nieces and nephews. Allan served his country in the US Navy from 1938-1945 in the South Pacific. While in Minnesota he was a member of the Painters Local Union #386. He loved sailing on Lake Minnetonka with the Upper Lake Minnetonka Yacht Club. Al and Carol traveled the country full time in a 36' motor home for 14 yrs before settling in AZ. A memorial service was held in Congress, AZ on 2-3-03. A memorial will be held in June at Ft. Snelling Cemetery.
