Spriggle Frederick R., age 77, of Bloomington, died peacefully February 22, 2002. Born to Emily & Leslie Spriggle July 26, 1924. Military service was with Company C Antilles Department Signal Service Battalion where he attained the rank of Sergeant. His career covered a span of 33 years with the Dayton-Hudson Corporation (Marshall Fields) where he held various positions relating to the electronics field. He was a member of THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKER'S UNION #292 and THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF CERTIFIED ELECTRONICS TECHNICIANS. As a member of the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America, he served in the development of industrial use and in addition served as an advisor for the area Vocational Technical Institutes. Retirement with wife Marie to Silver Bay, MN in 1989 was wonderful; a setting similar to the town he grew up in. He is survived by daughter, Gail & husband John Loftus; grandsons, Robert (Denise) of Zimmerman, James (Amy) of Eden Prairie; great-grandchildren, Wilson Patrick & Molly Marie; sister, Lela of Bloomington; sister-in-law, Dorothy of Bay City, WI; many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by wife Marie of 52 years; brothers, Lloyd, Bill; sisters, Wanda, Olive & Marion. The family wishes to thank the nurses & staff of Martin Luther Manor and Fairview Hospice for their care & support. Graveside Memorial Service in Bay City, WI, March 16, 2002 at 11 am at Bay City Cemetery. A gathering to share memories will be held at a luncheon directly following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Lung Association.
