Mikes (Steichen) Barbara Steichen Mikes, at rest in Detroit, MI on Feb. 18 after a 4-year battle with brain tumor. Survived by husband, Patrick; daughter, Elizabeth; sons, Patrick Jr. & Andrew. Also survived by parents, John & Eleanor Steichen; brothers, Peter & Tom; sister, Elizabeth (Dolly) Lowery. Preceded in death by brother, John Roman. Graduated from Behilde-St. Margaret's in St. Louis Park, MN; Universty of Notre Dame; and the College of Europe in Brugge, Belgium. Taught religion at St. Agnes School in St. Paul, MN, 1984-1988. Helped establish elementary school at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Germantown, TN. Mass of Christian Burial Fri., Feb. 22, 10 AM at St. Hugo of the Hills Catholic Church, Bloomfield Hills, MI. Final burial with graveside ceremony on Mon., Feb. 25, 11 AM at the Cemetery of Our Lady of the Lake in Mound, MN.
