Jo Tushie

Tushie Jo Tushie, age 49, of Lakeville, passed away unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm on February 17, 2002. Survived by husband, Gary Tushie; daughter, Bethany Tushie; parents, Herb and June Eckenroth of Las Vegas, Nevada; and sister, Jan Skeffington of Bloomington. Jo's favorite quote was ``Imagination is more important than knowledge.'' Jo was a certified AISD interior designer with her and her husband's architectural firm: Tushie-Montgomery Architects. She excelled in everything she did: her field of profession, being a devoted spouse, mother, and friend to many. Her profession was an extension of her personality; bringing joy, imagination, color and comfort into people's lives. Those of us left behind will dearly miss Jo, but we recognize heaven as the ultimate reward for people like Jo whose life was used so well in the service of others. A memorial service will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 200 E. Nicollet Blvd. in Burnsville on Thursday, February 21, 2002 at 10:30 am. A reception at the church will immediately follow.
