Bieniek Eugene J., Sr., "Sarge", age 73, of Sparta, WI, died Sunday, April 18, 2004 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN. He is survived by his wife, Kazuko "Connie" Bieniek of Sparta; three sons, Robert P. Bieniek of Sparta, Donald (Laura) Bieniek of Sparta, Eugene J. Bieniek Jr. of Sparta; six grandchildren, Daniel, Pauline, Aubrey Anne, Rose Marie, Greg, and Melissa; a brother, Albert P. Bieniek of Aberdeen, Maryland, and a nephew, Peter Bieniek of Aberdeen, Maryland. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church, 934 at Geranium Ave. E. and Forest St., St. Paul, MN, with Father James Deegan officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. Friends may call at the Lanham- Miller Funeral Home, Sparta on Thursday from 5 PM until 8 PM and at the church in St. Paul on Monday from 10 AM until the time of services. The Lanham- Miller Funeral Home, Sparta and the Johnson Peterson Funeral Home, St. Paul, 651-222-3220 is assisting the family with funeral arrangements, Bill Sandberg, director, the caring continues.
