Riebe Richard C. ``Dick'', 66, of Minneapolis, MN and St. Croix Falls, WI, passed away February 8, 2002 at home after a life-long battle with Diabetes and, in the end, Cancer. Dick was a U.S. Naval Commander, a Captain with 3M Aviation, and retired in 1996. He was a member of St. Croix Falls Rotary Club, and an avid sportsman and outdoorsman. Dick was blessed with a loving family including his wife of 38 years, Margaret; sons, Richard C. Riebe Jr. (Kelly), their daughters, Sydney and Samantha (Grandpa's girls); Jeffrey C. Riebe, Gregory C. Riebe; sister Jane Schrader (Al); nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and George Riebe; grandparents, aunts and uncles. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service at St. Phillip the Deacon Lutheran Church, 17205 County Rd. 6, Plymouth, MN (2 miles west of 494, SE corner of Hwy. 101), Thursday, February 14th at 2 PM. Family greeting 1 PM. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of MN. To Richard's many friends around the world, whose concern, prayers, and support over the years, especially recently, his family is eternally grateful. A special thank you to the many doctors and nurses who so tenderly administered care at the University of Minnesota - Renal Unit, United Hospitals, and St. Croix Regional Hospital, who gave him another chance so many times.
