Kiekenapp Else M. (Mrs. Gilbert), age 95, of Faribault, died on Thursday, February 7, 2002 at her daughter's home in Mpls. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 11, at 1 PM at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault with the Rev. E. H. Eifert officiating. Interment Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday 1 hour prior to the Service. Else Marie Frida Peters, the daughter of Heinrich Christoph and Marie Sophie Dorothee (Gottschalk) Peters, was born on December 21, 1906 in Trauen, Germany. She came to America with her family from northern Germany at the age of 2½. Four years later, in 1912, the family returned to Germany, relocating in Lachendorf, where Else completed her elementary education. In 1920, when Else was 14, the family returned to the USA, settling on a farm in Nebraska. The family later moved to Milwaukee, WI. When Else's brother, Rev. Martin Peters, came to Faribault in 1930 to serve as assistant pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church, his parents and sisters joined him here. In 1933, Else married Gilbert Edgar Kiekenapp. He preceded her in death on November 6, 1981. For the past year and 3 months, Else had been living with her daughter, Lois, in S Mpls. Else is survived by 4 children, Gil Kiekenapp of St Paul, Lorna (and Karl) Tittl of Eagan, Lois Kiekenapp of Mpls and James (and Linda) Kiekenapp of Warsaw; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Martha Hoffman of Moline, IL; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gilbert; 1 son, Robert in 1945; 1 daughter, Linda Marie Raetz in 1961; 1 half sister, Marie Peters; and 1 brother, Rev. Martin Peters.
