Fallon Jerome P. "Pat" Fallon of Brooklyn Center, MN, died on April 5, 2004, peacefully, surrounded by his family, of complications from a fall. Preceded in death by mother & father, Tressa and Patrick J. Fallon; brothers, Leonard, Merton, and Leo; sister-in-law, Marge (Merton). Survived by devoted wife of 32 years, Lola Mae (Sally) Fallon; son, Patrick R. Fallon; grandchildren, Kevin, Megan, Duffy, Reilly, and Tressa Fallon; stepson, Doug Brandt (Chele); as well as grandchildren, Jennifer Carpenter, Joshua Brandt, Tami and Daniel Loff, Michael and Jodi Vanberkel, Patrick and Wendi Nolden, and Daniel Stroad; great- grandchildren, Taylor Brandt; Zachary, Hailey, and Mackenzie Loff; Cody and Kayla Nolden; Abraham Vanberkel and Brandon Peterson. He will be missed by his sisters-in-law, Ann Fallon (Leonard), Betty Alexander (Leo), Dorothy Cooper, and Grace Bligard (Harvey); as well as nephews, Jeff (Carole), Dan (Jane), Tim (Susan) and Tim Fallon (Carla) and nieces Michele Fallon (Steve Cook), Sandie Spotts (Steve), Vicki Huff (Glen), Suzanne Dunn (Gary), Jennifer Dalton, and their families. "Pat" was born on a farm in Hutchinson, Minnesota, on March 31, 1918. He enlisted in the service at the outbreak of World War II and attained the rank of Captain, having flown 50 missions in Europe as a B-17 pilot in the 8th Air Force. To the day he died, he had a fierce loyalty to "The Mighty Eighth" and to surviving members of his crew. Pat was a longtime chemical dependency counselor for the city of Minneapolis and active member of AA, proudly achieving 33+ years of sobriety. He was a frequent speaker at "club events" and helped over 3,000 alcoholics and their families achieve and maintain their recovery. He was never too busy to help someone "in trouble" and had a special affinity for cops and firefighters who needed treatment. Pat's passion in the latter phase of his life was his grandchildren, whom he loved with rare enthusiasm and without condition. They gave him joy in every situation, and were the source of unending pride and hope for Pat. Pat's family offers their deep gratitude to the staff at Maranatha Care Center for the loving care Pat received the last month of his life. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Monday at The Church of St. Alphonsus, 7025 Halifax Ave N., Brooklyn Center. Int. Ft Snelling.
