Ovestrud Jane Anderson Ovestrud, age 82 of Dublin, HO, formerly of Mpls and Tinton Falls, NJ, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003 at Friendship Village in Dublin, OH. She was the oldest daughter of Clarence Anderson and Marrie LeTourneau Anderson, both deceased. Jane was a 1938 graduate of West High School in Mpls and attended the University of Minnesota for 3 years. She worked as a bookkeeper and was also employed by Hallmark Cards and Bambergers (of Macy's) Department Store, 1960-1973. She was a hospital volunteer, active in the Columbus New Neighbors League, an avid painter and bridge player, and played golf. She was a loving mother and wife, adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and we will miss her. She was a resident of Columbus since 1972, and most recently resided at Dublin Retirement Village, Dublin, OH. She is survived by a daughter, Dana Ovestrud (Justin) Doheny, Wayne, NJ; sister, Joanne Anderson Thompson Smith, Mpls; daughter-in-law, Julia (Richard) Ovestrud, Dublin, OH; 6 grandchildren, Justin III, Christopher, Timothy Doheny, all of Wayne, NJ, Janine Ovestrud LaRocque, Colonia, NJ, Donald Ovestrud, Little Egg Harbor, NJ, and Ilona Ovestrud, Dublin, OH; 2 great-grandchildren, Donald Ovestrud and Kaleigh LaRocque. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Mahlon Ovestrud, Sr., and her sons, Donald Robert Ovestrud and Richard Mahlon Ovestrud, Jr. Funeral service Saturday, February 15, 2003 at 1:30 PM at Washburn-McReavy Davies Chapel, 23rd at Hennepin Av S, Mpls, with interment to follow at Lakewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus, c/o Dana Ovestrud Doheny, 15 Borzotta Blvd., Wayne, NJ 07470-2503 for the benefit of her grandson, Christopher's, lung transplant.
