Rev. Chris Russell

Russell Rev. Chris. Father John F. Russell, March 29, 1931 - Feb. 7, 2003. Preceded in death by parents, Mary & Bob; and brother, Bob. Dear brother of Donald (Faviola) of Wichita, KS, Mary (Gordon) McCoy of Rochester, MN, and James (Kay), West St. Paul. Also survived by sister-in-law, Lois of Long Beach, CA; and by many loving nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. Father Chris took his vows as a Christian Brother on May 15, 1957, and was ordained in the St. Paul/Mpls Archdiocese on Feb. 10, 1979. He served for many years as a V.A. Chaplain in both Mpls and Albuquerque, NM. He was the pastor of Assumption Parish in Richfield and later at St. Ignatius Parish in Annandale. Visitation 4-8 PM Sunday, with prayer vigil 5 PM at WEST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 S. Robert @ Arion, WSP, and 9-10 AM Monday, with Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM, all at the CHURCH OF ST. STANISLAUS, 398 Superior St., St. Paul. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Thanks to his many caregivers during his recent illness.
