Conley Jack C. Conley Husband, Father & Grandfather 1922 - 2003 Jack C. Conley, age 80, of Forest Lake, passed away Wed., Feb. 5, 2003. Jack was born April 19, 1922 in Verndale, MN to Harlan and Beatrice (Anderson) Conley. He got his Bachelor of Science degree from St. Cloud State and his master's degree from the U of M. Jack served in the Navy from 1943-1946. He coached and taught in Sauk Rapids and Crosby-Ironton before settling in Forest Lake where he retired in 1984 as Athletic Director. Jack was also a crop hail adjustor for Great American Ins. Co. for 32 summers. He received many honors including MN State High School Coaches Association President, MSHSCA Hall of Fame, Lions Club Citizen of the Year, State Athletic Director of the Year, and a Parent of the Year. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wayne and Roger "Bud." Survived by wife of 57 years, Shirley Conley (Atkinson); sons, David (Debra), Michael (Linda), Timothy (Cheryl); grandchildren, Benson, Caitlin, Erin (Mark), Joshua, Shaun, Christopher, Brian; great-grandchild, Damion; sisters-in-law, Arlene and Patricia; brother-in-law, James D. (Addie) Atkinson; other relatives & numerous friends. Memorial Service Saturday, 2 PM at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Private interment, Scandinavian Cemetery.
