Beggs Gwen Helen, age 102, of Deephaven died on 2/5/2003. Was born 3/24/1900 in Evansville, WI to Rev. John J. & Christina Jones. Was a former teacher and Nortwestern Bell Telephone employee, as well as a loving wife, mother, grandma and homemaker. Member of St David's Society and the Women's Club of Lake Minnetonka. Preceded in death by husband, Roland R. Beggs; son, Robert J. Beggs; 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Survived by daugthers & son-in-law, Helen V. Beggs, Mary J. & Robert Howells, Gwen M. Hauser; grandchildren, Ronald (Ginger) Howells, Carol Howells, Laura (Glen) Leavitt, Marshall (Shelia) Hines, Jennifer (Stephen) Rauls; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral service Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at 7 PM, Congregational Church of Excelsior, 471 3rd St, Excelsior (952-474-5919). Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Private family interment on Wednesday at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
