Irene Whyte McCord

McCord Irene Whyte, age 75, born in Manchester, England, passed away recently at her home in Grand Cayman, formerly of Edina. Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, King Stewart McCord. Survived by daughters, Pamela (Mike) Callinan, Joan Mills, Chicki (Tim) Tucker, and Beth (Jim) Williams; grandchildren, Dan (Kelly) and Jeff Callinan, Jeremy, Sarah and Peter Mills, Jennifer and Rick Tucker, & Adam and Kelly Williams; great-granddaughter, Hanna Callinan. Irene was an active member in the Edina Community and manager of Edina Realty's 50th and France office. She was a lifelong member of D.B.E. and National T.T.T. Society. While in Cayman, she volunteered at the hospital, Humane Society and botanical gardens. After a burial at sea with her husband Stewart, a memorial service will be held Saturday, February 9th, 2 PM, at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, West 50th St. & Hwy 100 at Vernon Ave. Visitation 1 hour before the service.
