Arianna E. Johnson

Johnson Arianna E., age 89, of Plymouth, Naples, FL, and a longtime resident of Golden Valley, passed away on Feb. 3, 2003 at North Ridge Care Center. She was born Oct. 14, 1913 in Greenville, SC, daughter of Dr. William E. & Effie White, who preceded her in death. After leaving Greenville, Arianna lived in Johnson City, TN, Milwaukee, WI, where she married Alton M. Johnson on Dec. 31, 1937, and moved to Mpls. She attended Carroll College in Wisconsin and she still has several cousins living in Greenville and Mt. Pleasant, SC. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Alton M. Johnson; son, Terry (Pat); daughter, Vicki (Charles) Swanson; 5 granddaughters, Cindi, Tami, Shari, Staci and Amy, and 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Amilee Yate, Escondido, CA. Arianna was an excellent mother and beloved wife. She loved golf, bowling and bridge. She belonged to the Wayzata Country Club since 1956, along with her husband. "She will be greatly missed."
