White Elissa June White, 66, of Welch, died February 4 at her home. She was born on June 22, 1935 to Martin and Elsie (Johnson) Whitebear in Prairie Island. She worked at Smead's in Hastings and at Parmalee Plastics in Kansas City, MO. She lived in Independence, MO until her health declined and she moved back to Prairie Island. Elissa was an active member of the Apostolic Faith Trinity Church, she sang in the choir and helped minister to those in jails and nursing homes. She is survived by 3 sisters, Vivian (Joe) Mireau of Welch, Marilyn Dow of Welch and Cheryl White of St. Louis, MO; 2 brothers, Byron (Faye) of Lake Elmo and Willis (Crystal) White of Independence, MO; and many nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Victoria and Marjorie White and brothers, James and Arthur White. Funeral will be 11 am Thursday at Prairie Island Community Center with Pastor Allen Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Church of the Messiah Cemetery. The visitation began Tuesday, Feb. 6 and will continue until the service begins on Thursday. Memorials are preferred to the Apostolic Faith Trinity Church, P.O. Box 6792, Mpls., MN 55406. Arr.
