Jacobson, Albert V. (Jake) age 92 of Plymouth, MN was born on October 4, 1921 and died on July 20, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret, triplet daughters who loved him so much, Lynn Anderson, husband Mark Anderson of Minnetonka, MN, Lee Jacobson of Delano, MN, and former son-in-law Frank Schuble of Southgate, KY, Carol Jacobson, her significant other Rick Rountree of Norman, OK, and adoring grand- daughters Jamie Anderson, and her fiancé Matt Schafer of Minneapolis, MN, and Natalie Jacobson of Norman, OK. Preceded in death by parents, Albert and Johanna, brothers Ray, Bud, and Lloyd Jacobson, and surviving sister Helen Cowle. Al was in the 2nd Marine Division during World War II in the Pacific on five different islands which were Guata Canal, Tarawa, Saipan, Tinian and Okinawa. He was awarded the Bronze Star on the island of Saipan for an act of heroism, and Brigadier General Lamar Hunt pinned the Bronze Star on him on the island of Saipan in 1944. He was also a member of the 2nd Marine Division, Minnesota Chapter of the VFW Post. Al worked in Aerospace for the Federal government for 33 years as an inspector with D-CASS. We will miss you dearly! On Thursday, July 24 at 10:00 AM there will be a service at Ft. Snelling Memorial Chapel, Highway 55, Ft. Snelling, MN 55111, (612) 279-3555. Graveside service to follow at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
