Roger C. Jones

Roger C. Jones, age 70, of Bloomington, Minnesota, succumbed to Cancer on Sunday evening, February 3rd. Preceded in death by son, Patrick; parents, Raymond and Margaret, and his brother, Raymond Jr. Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Eleanor; his sons, Tom (Julie) Jones of Apple Valley, Jerry (Brenda) Jones of Maryland, and daughter, Cindy (Tony) Hoeben of Apple Valley; his sister, Nita Wagner, and his special friends, Ted and Toni Rilea. Roger is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Jared, Bridgette, Jenna, Roger, Joey, Tina, Billy and Jensine who brought him his greatest joy of the past 20 years. Roger served 21 years in the Navy and Naval Reserve. He retired after 24 years of service as a printer and purchasing agent for the Star Tribune. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with friends and family. A Service will be held on Wednesday, February 6th at 11:00 am at Gill Brothers Bloomington-Richfield Chapel, 9947 Lyndale Ave S., Bloomington. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The burial will follow at 12 noon at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the interment at Everett McClay V.F.W. in Bloomington, 2731 E. 78th Street (952-854-1296).
