Fern Ruby Pierson

Fern Ruby Pierson, age 81, of Golden Valley. Survived by loving husband, Don; brother, Wesley Pierson, Claremont, SD; sisters, Doris Rapp, Bristol, SD, Gloria Corrigan, Casper, WY, Donna Oster, Steel, ND, Maxine Rowland, Minnetonka, MN; many other dear friends, nieces & nephews. Graduate of Northern College, Aberdeen, SD. She taught high school in her early years and then worked for the Veterans Admin. until her retirement in 1980. Ruby did volunteer work for the Red Cross, Mpls Public Library, and the Courage Center. She loved music, church, letter writing, and was a member of the Hennepin Ave United Methodist Church Choir for over 50 years. She was a lifetime member of the Claremont Methodist Church in Claremont, SD. Funeral service 2 pm Thursday, Claremont Methodist Church, Claremont, SD.
